About Our Founder

My name is Sherifat Onabanjo. I am a graduate of Computer Science from Lagos State University in Nigeria. I attended NIIT in Lagos, Nigeria to study Oracle Database Administration, hence I am an Oracle Database Administrator with 2 certifications in Oracle Database: Oracle Certified Associate and Oracle Certified Professional.

I graduated from Ashton College with a Diploma in Immigration Consulting. I also passed my RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant) licensing exam (EPE). Asides these education and exam that I went through, I also went through other requirements to become a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).

Prior to becoming an RCIC, I have been blogging about Canada since 2016 when I relocated to Canada; from lifestyle, to immigration and general information about the beautiful country of Canada. I was blogging on my personal lifestyle blog and personal social media platforms. In 2018, my husband and I thought it was better to start a different platform for blogging about Canada, with more focus on the province of Nova Scotia (NS), since we live in NS. Hence we started the Life in Nova Scotia platform (www.LifeinNovaScotia.ca). The platform also blogs on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter: Life in Nova Scotia.

Just so I add, I have been a blogger way before I moved to Canada. I officially started blogging and writing in 2014 when I was in my home country, Nigeria. Even though I have been a writer cum blogger for many years before I officially started in 2014.

I decided to venture into Canadian immigration because it’s intriguing and interesting. Since I blog about Canada, I get many questions and requests regarding how to relocate to Canada, study in Canada or just visit Canada. So I thought to pursue this career path so I am licensed and authorized to advise or assist people to file in their applications to either live, study or visit Canada. I have been assisting people with information on how to move to Canada on a personal level free of charge, so I thought going to school to study Canadian immigration would better equip me to go on this path.

Due to personal experience, research and the education that I have acquired; I have gained an understanding of the Canadian immigration laws, policies and regulations. My goal is to offer my clients the needed information, guidance and support that would yield to a worthwhile relocation to Canada.

I am a member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).

I am married with children. Asides writing which is one of my pastimes, I also enjoy travelling (domestic and international). Another activity I enjoy doing is spending time with my family and friends.
